πŸ–€ Devlog 02 – Concept Art Drop

This week I worked on layout and mood for the town area and the antique store β€” the centre of the game’s horror. I also designed the storekeeper entity. Creepy, uncanny, and very much NOT human.


This horror game is a solo dev project I’m building as a 2nd year Game Art student. Everything from design to implementation will be done by me.

Which part creeps you out more: the store or the man who lives in it?

Devlog #1 – Moodboarding the First Horror Level

Work In Progress / 04 July 2025

This is the start of a solo horror game I’m creating alongside my studies. I’ve been experimenting with moodboards to shape the tone of my levels before I begin modeling and layout.

Main focuses so far:

- Open space, antique store

- Environmental storytelling through architecture

- Light/autumn colour palettes with focused light


All moodboards built in Canva with plans to move into UE5 for prototyping.


I’ll be documenting the full journey on here too – concept to completion, with all the learning curves along the way.
